The Dying Lamp Shines on Sword Scars

The martial world has been quiet for ten years. Xie Linyuan, once famed across the land as the “Startling Swan Sword,” has long since become a down-and-out patron at a tavern, wiping the scars from his blade. The dim lamp he carries in his arms, which never seems to light, holds the truth behind the destruction of his sect. Deep within the sword scars is half a sect token, carved there by his own hand.

A mysterious stranger suddenly appears with the other half of the token, and soon a trail of clues and assassins follows. When the lamp’s faint glow finally flickers to life, Xie Linyuan realizes that the sword scars he deliberately tried to forget have already bound him in a deadly knot with a conspiracy sweeping the martial world. And the killer he seeks may be hiding in the most familiar shadow beneath the lamp.
