Chronicles of the Hou Soul

A string of grisly murders rocks the city, each victim found with a mysterious blood sigil carved into their palm. Ling Zhao, heir to the Xuanxiao Pavilion, is ordered to investigate, only to discover that he has been drawn into an apocalyptic murder plot spanning thousands of years.

Daoist arts are supposed to be the perfect counter to zombies. But when he faces the immortal progenitor of all zombies, everything he knows is turned upside down.

Worse still, the only key capable of sealing the progenitor is the Yellow Emperor's bloodline flowing through his own body. That same power makes him the perfect vessel for every progenitor's resurrection.

Will he become the hero who saves the world, or fall into the hands of a devil who destroys it? Can he break free from this fate-defying trap?
