For a year of marriage to Lu Hanting, Lin Wanxing has faithfully kept to her role as his “contract wife.”
When he asks her to stay by his side, she quietly does. When he tells her to get lost, she vanishes into the crowd.
Everyone laughs at her, saying she's the most obedient and boring ornament by President Lu's side.
Until she leaves behind a signed divorce agreement and a bracelet named “Starlight and Shackles,” then disappears without a trace.
Only then does Lu Hanting discover that the wife he never once gave a second glance is actually “Xingchen,” the genius designer he has been unable to win over.
He searches high and low, finally finding her beneath the bright southern sun.
His voice trembles. “Come home with me.”
But she only looks up and gives him a distant smile. “Mr. Lu, haven't we already settled everything between us?”
