Your Highness, I'll Take Care of the Weeds on Your Grave

[Historical romance · transmigration · gourmet System · face-slapping wish fulfillment · strong leads in conflict · 1v1, both untouched]

[Grudge-holding, disgraced chef empress VS cold, calculating prince]

Just after earning three Michelin stars, Lin Wan transmigrates into Shen Qingwan, the disgraced empress of Great Jing, who is being forced to drink poison.

At the very last moment before the poison takes effect, the “God of Cooking System” forcibly binds itself to her. Her dishes can boost inner strength and cure all poisons, but she can use it only three times a day, and no matter what, she can’t make desserts.

Shen Qingwan: …Fine. What a rip-off.

Surviving in the Cold Palace? She turns the poisoned wine into pickled “phoenix claws,” smashes her jade bracelet to make “emerald soup,” and snatches her life back from the King of Hell.

Her hypocritical half-sister frames her? She serves up “laxative pastries” and makes her “rush to the toilet nonstop” in front of the emperor!

The Cold Palace guards give her trouble? One pot of “spicy hot pot” teaches them a lesson, and they end up begging to cling to her coattails!

Everyone laughs at her madness and waits for her to die miserably.

But she wields a wok spatula and fights her way from the Cold Palace to the emperor’s court, causing a sensation throughout the court with her Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and making herself famous across the capital!

She opens restaurants and builds a network of power. The once-discarded concubine becomes the one person the emperor and the Seventh Prince both beg to cook for them.

Seventh Prince Xiao Che pretends to watch from the sidelines, yet somehow always “happens” to show up when she’s in danger.

Xiao Che: Your Majesty, this cooking doesn’t look like the work of someone who’s about to die.

Shen Qingwan shoves a “poisoned phoenix claw” into his hand. “Say a word and I’ll make sure grass grows three meters high on your grave!”

He chuckles, leaning close. “As it happens, I like grassy graves.”

See how a modern master chef uses one pot and one spatula to stir up the winds of change in this deadly dynasty and cook up a magnificent empire!
