The Crown Prince in Women's Clothes: Bewitching and Alluring

[An upright, aloof beauty who disguises himself as a woman VS a scheming, obsessive little waif in the cold palace] [Both are each other’s first and only love + Mutual devotion + 1V1 + Court intrigue + Historical fantasy + Healing + Male lead’s perspective] After the Northern Di Crown Prince He Sheng’s country is defeated, he dons women’s clothes and pretends to be his younger sister, He Lianyi, to keep her safe. He goes as a hostage to the enemy nation in exchange for the return of his country’s great general, but the enemy emperor forces him to take a deadly poison and locks him away in the cold palace. There, he meets a pitiful little waif who deliberately plays up her suffering in front of him. In the end, He Sheng can’t bear to stand by and helps her. As the two grow closer, they gradually become “best sisters.” But fate has other plans. Later, the waif is framed for murdering the emperor and sentenced to death. To save her, He Sheng gives her the fake-death medicine he has on hand and helps her escape the capital, while he himself is left trapped behind bars. Ten years fly by. When they meet again, the waif throws her arms around him and speaks in a coy voice against his chest. “Sister, you promised me back then: if I still remembered you when we met again, you would marry me.” In the end, the waif returns to Northern Di with He Sheng and becomes its most exalted empress. Now powerful, she is nothing like the pitiable girl she once was, and steadily rises to become ruler of the world. The waif says, “Sister, brother, whatever you are to me, as long as you’re you, you’re the only light in my life and the only person I care about. I’ll follow you and protect you for the rest of my life.”
