[Urban mythology + passionate patriotism + collective ascension]
Spiritual qi revival, and myths from around the world descend!
The West has Jehovah’s angelic army, the Norse have Odin’s pantheon, and Sakura Country has eight million spirits and demons... But Huaxia, with its five thousand years of civilization, has lost its mythology and become easy pickings for the gods!
At this perilous moment, Li Wangyou digs a dusty bamboo scroll out of his family’s ancestral home: the Investiture of the Gods!
“Those Western birdmen dare to swagger through Huaxia’s airspace? I hereby appoint Huaxia’s ace air force pilot as Lei Zhenzi, master of heavenly thunder!”
Boom! A pair of wind-and-thunder wings unfurl from a fighter jet, instantly taking down a six-winged angel!
“Sea monsters are causing havoc off Sakura Country? I hereby appoint the commander of the naval fleet as the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea, guardian of our borders!”
As the gods of Huaxia return to their rightful places one by one, the whole world trembles.
Standing atop the Forbidden City with the God-Striking Whip in hand, Li Wangyou surveys the gods of the world: “Ahead lies Huaxia. Gods are forbidden to enter! Those who disobey will be executed!”
Not exciting enough. But the writing is good. What I prefer to watch is the National Games Arena. And summoning gods, not this kind of canonizing gods. I hope the author doesn't mind.
This book is very nice
