Lin Zhinuan, nicknamed Wowo, a student at Yanjing University, loses her student ID, which is found by car designer Ke Ludi. Their meeting begins with its return, and soon she, a lover of classical poetry, and he, a man captivated by mechanical design, are drawn to each other. But when Ke Ludi moves to Germany for work, the distance starts to strain their relationship.
Then Arthur, the son of a diplomat, enters Wowo’s world. This sunny, Westernized “banana man” is deeply attracted to her Eastern charm and pursues her passionately. The novelty of their cultural differences stands in sharp contrast to the bitterness of a long-distance relationship, and for the first time, Wowo begins to waver.
One storm follows another. Nancy, Arthur’s ex-girlfriend, deliberately sets a trap that destroys the trust between Ke Ludi and Wowo. Caught in an emotional maze, Wowo has to sort out her feelings: should she stay true to her profound but difficult first love with Ke Ludi, or accept the new possibilities Arthur offers?
When the misunderstandings are cleared up, everyone grows through the ordeal. After the storm, Wowo and Ke Ludi find a stronger trust in each other, and their love and dreams bloom together at the Paris Motor Show. Arthur, too, breaks free of the constraints of his identity and finds a path that truly belongs to him.
In the end, the story shows that love is not about searching the world for a home. It is because of that one person that we find peace and a sense of belonging within ourselves. Where the heart finds peace, there is home.
