The four heroines - the rational lawyer Lin Yanbing, the workplace blogger Xia Nan who is burdened with family burdens, the ideal bookstore owner Xu Mengdie, and the technically gifted but introverted programmer Su Nianzhen - moved into an old bungalow called the "Symbiosis Apartment" because of the low rent and strange terms.
