Dream of the Red Chamber: From Today On, I’ll Care for Beauty and Empire

From today on, I’ll be a happy man.

Playing the zither, playing chess, listening to music, watching dance.

From today on, I’ll care about my sisters’ happiness.

I have a prince’s mansion, with golden rooms and jade tiles, just waiting for beauties to be cherished within.

Third Brother thinks I’m a fool who only knows how to take advantage of people. Big Brother thinks I’m a bookworm who can’t even carry a shoulder pole.

That’s great. Keep it up. Lay it on thicker, don’t stop.

You go ahead and fight among yourselves. I’ll make a little money first.

Once you’re done fighting, the kingdom and the people in it will all be mine.
