Business queen Shen Zhiwei works herself to death from overwork, then wakes up as the ultimate lovesick cannon-fodder girl in a historical romance: the prime minister's legitimate daughter. The original owner squandered the family fortune for the hypocritical Third Prince, making a scene at every turn and becoming a laughingstock throughout the capital. The first thing Shen Zhiwei does after waking is tear up the script of the devoted doormat. This girl is going to build a career!
This time, she starts with all the winning cards: a loving father and mother. Her prime minister father is a shrewd, capable man and a close friend of the emperor; her mother is a gentle, steadfast literary talent of the capital. Their harmonious family is the warm haven she could never have in her previous life.
A sweet, silly little brother: her kind-hearted, straightforward younger brother is devoted to her and her biggest fan. Drawing on her business acumen from her previous life, she crushes the ancient marketplace with a level of insight far beyond her competitors.
She opens restaurants, builds a chain, and establishes a business empire, easily becoming fabulously wealthy.
Those who once looked down on her now come begging to work with her, silver in hand.
The hypocritical Third Prince regrets everything and kneels, begging to get back together? Shen Zhiwei throws silver in his face. "A minute of this young lady's time is worth a fortune."
Once she stops being lovesick and focuses on her career, she practically glows:
The refined Crown Prince admires her and keeps making advances. "No one but you could be my Crown Princess."
The heirs of the great clans compete for her favor, making her the top name on the capital's list of most desirable brides!
She rises from a "love-struck fool" mocked by everyone to the "capital's most talented woman and richest person," adored by all!
Then the mysterious Regent, who wields power over the entire court, corners her against a wall. He bends down and whispers in her ear, "When you're done playing around, come back and be my Regent Princess. You'll be the only woman in my life."
