When the nation's top special forces units, Red Cell, Wolf Warriors, Fire Phoenix, and Thunderbolt, gather on a battlefield for an exercise billed as the ultimate test, they all assume their only opponents are one another.
Then the exercise spirals out of control, and a man with the codename "Azure Dragon" quietly enters the fray.
Chen Han, codename "Azure Dragon," is the sole representative of the "Dragon Soul" unit. His mission isn't to take part in the game, but to serve as the final examiner, selecting from these rebellious elite soldiers the next generation of armor to join China's most secretive "Dragon Soul" and become part of the nation's sharpest blade.
But this is only the beginning. When sealed prehistoric ruins are opened and a deadly virus capable of destroying modern civilization reemerges, the true mission of "Dragon Soul" comes to light: they are defending not one country or city, but the survival of all civilization.
From selection trials packed with elite soldiers, to shadowy clashes spanning the globe, and finally to the ultimate battlefield where the fate of the entire species is at stake, this is a journey of forging elite warriors into "Dragon Blades."
Put our skills to the test, mend the rift in the heavens.
With Dragon Soul as our backbone, we forge the blade of civilization.
