One night, the long-sealed Record of a Hundred Ghosts is found empty, its ghosts all vanished. When Zhong Kui, the ghost hunter, learns of this, he hurries down to the mortal world to protect its peace. There, he meets a little girl named Zhang Yide, who insists on becoming his sidekick...
Then one day, Zhong Kui suddenly disappears, leaving Zhang Yide in charge of hunting ghosts. She doesn’t know how to do any of it. What is she supposed to do...?
If there’s nothing to learn in the mortal world, then let’s take a look around the underworld!
“I, Zhang Yide, will neither cultivate immortality nor claim godhood. I’ll only do what mortals can do. To do a mortal’s work to the utmost is to become divine.”
