Ode to the Milky Way

[Alternate Western Han Dynasty | Sweet and Bittersweet Romance | Court Intrigue]

“If we meet again in another life, may we be joined as branches. If we return to this world, may we be husband and wife. If we cannot be together in life, may we be together forever after death.”

Behind these few words lies a love unknown to the world. Only when their tombs were opened a century later did this secret romance from the Han dynasty finally come to light.

Like ink, a deep love will be remembered on silk and engraved upon fine paper, no matter how fate may toy with it.

This story records not only the tomb owner’s lifelong sorrow and regret, but also the two lovers’ promises and vows, steadfast until death…
