The Heretical Disciple of the Joyous Union Sect: Lin Chen's Path to Defying His Master in the Xuanchen Sect

Lin Chen, a modern office worker, transmigrates to the Xuanchen Realm and falls into the back mountains of the Hehuan Sect. Thanks to his “Chaos Dao Body,” he is exceptionally accepted as a personal disciple by Su Qingyan, a Nascent Soul elder. But because his Dao Body rejects the “power of passion,” he becomes a laughingstock. Relying on the Chaos Cauldron, he unlocks his Dao Body’s potential with help from his master Su Qingyan’s innate spiritual aura, Yun Xi’s pure spirit physique, and the transformation of Luo Li’s bewitching physique, advancing from Qi Refining to the Golden Core realm. Along the way, he must deal with the elder Meiji’s schemes, as well as the covetousness of the Soul-Eater Sect and Netherworld Valley. His bond with Su Qingyan as master and disciple also leads him to defy convention and become entangled in the sect’s secrets. As the secrets linking the Chaos Dao Body to the ancient Primordial Chaos Realm come to light, Lin Chen learns of a prophecy that he will “change the course of the Xuanchen Realm.” He navigates conflicts among the Hehuan Sect, the Tiansha Sect, and other forces, and investigates the truth behind the Chaos Cauldron. As a “wayward disciple,” he breaks through his restraints and follows a path of cultivation that combines the Dao of Chaos with yin-yang arts, ultimately growing from a controversial disciple into a pivotal force that reshapes the balance between good and evil in the Xuanchen Realm.
