Secret identity + showbiz + pursuing love + fake and real heiresses + substitute; a genius forensic pathologist and actress undercover in the entertainment industry VS the capital's ruthless young master, who seizes power from his useless father. Both are devoted and equally matched.
Two years ago, rising idol Leng Jiwu mysteriously fell to her death. The cause remained unknown, and rumors ran wild. At Ping'an Police Station, the once-in-a-generation forensic genius Jiang Shiyue fell into a downward spiral and vanished from public view.
Two years later, actress Jiang Shiyue burst onto the scene and became an overnight sensation online, turning into the most talked-about star in the entertainment industry.
She had striking looks but no social skills, and no one could say how smart she was.
Her acting was superb, but her sharp tongue earned her a legion of haters.
She had plenty of endorsements, but her love life was always making headlines, with countless rumored pairings.
Everyone urged her to protect her career, hone her acting skills, and claim the Best Actress crown. But when no one was looking, she attached herself to the capital's most ruthless young master and became the fiancée he cherished above all else.
But who could have guessed that it was all a disguise? Jiang Shiyue had gone undercover in the entertainment industry to investigate the hastily closed cold case from two years earlier, and to seek justice for the beloved woman who had died tragically.
Jiang Shiyue put herself on the line, weaving a tender web of love around Xiao Tianze.
Xiao Tianze knew full well it was a trap, yet he willingly fell into that web of love, unable to tear himself away.
