Journey to the West: The Tang Monk Subdues Demons

[Transmigration + System + Journey to the West + Primordial World + Tang Monk + forging his own path + wondrous principles]

A modern soul transmigrates into Tang Monk, only to be bound to the “Mindful Debate System for Guiding the World.” From then on, the journey west takes a radically different turn. When facing demons, he doesn’t recite the tightening spell. He reasons with them instead. He uses management theory to persuade Bajie to build a cooperative, applies dialectics to guide the demons of the Lion Camel Kingdom in creating a harmonious city, and even sits down to debate with the Buddha.

This is no pilgrimage to retrieve scriptures, but a campaign to spread ideas. He treats the Eighty-One Tribulations as consulting projects, turning calamities into opportunities with his wisdom and eloquence. In the end, what he brings back is not scripture copied on paper, but a book of his own, Record of Debating the Mind on the Journey West. He attains the rank of “Venerable of Wondrous Reasoning” and opens up a new path to Buddhahood through winning people over with reason.
