Divorced with a Child: My Officer Husband Spoils Me Rotten

Jiang Tiantian, a head nurse in a modern emergency department, wakes up as a nurse at a county hospital in the 1970s. She has to endure the cold shoulder from her womanizing doctor ex-husband, and before she can even react, the hospital fires her over “moral conduct.” She returns to her parents' home with her newly three-year-old son, “Little Dumpling.” She thinks it will be a safe haven, but her father is cold, her mother is sharp-tongued, and her brother and sister-in-law treat her like a free maid. Even her little nephew dares to steal Little Dumpling's steamed bun.

At her lowest point, the “1970s Comeback System” suddenly binds to her. Its style is bizarre: fix the neighbor's water pipe and get two steamed buns made from white flour; talk back to her sister-in-law and win back the food coupons to trigger a “ridiculous quest: bray like a donkey to scare away a flock of chickens.” Complete it, and she can even draw a tin of Snowflake cream that's expired but still usable. Just as Jiang Tiantian is scraping by with the System's help, she unexpectedly runs into army officer Lu Tingzhou, who's come to the hospital for a checkup. He is immediately taken with how attentively she cares for her child and proposes marriage.

Only after they marry does Jiang Tiantian discover that Lu Tingzhou may look stern, but he's completely devoted to his wife. When people gossip about her, he brings his guards over to stand up for her. When she uses the System's reward, “improved vegetable-growing techniques,” to start a side business, he secretly helps cover for her. He even spoils Little Dumpling into a little military enthusiast. From then on, Jiang Tiantian uses her ridiculous System to put the worst people in their place and build her career, while her army officer husband showers her with affection. Together, they turn the hardships of the 1970s into a funny, heartwarming romance.
