Lin Feng received an anonymous package, which contained a stand-alone game CD called "Abyss Echoes". The introduction only has one line: "Complete the level, or live in it forever."
He scoffed and opened it casually.
The first task: at three o'clock in the morning, listen to the "crying" in the water pipes of your house.
Lin Feng did as he was told. Then, he heard his late mother's voice coming from the water pipes, humming childhood songs.
Game prompt: "Novice mission completed. Survival mode, start."
Now, his life has become a huge BUG. Ghost shadows passed him by in the sunlight, urban legends were unfolding around him, and clues of reasoning pointed to family secrets he had never known. While others were trying to survive in the game, he got stuck with unlimited props in the bug, and discussed with the cracked woman who was chasing him three streets: "Sister, are you off work? Can you sign your name for me?"
However, as he gradually uncovered the loopholes in this world, he discovered that the so-called "game" might be reality. And the last words left by his long-dead father were: "Son, run quickly, they are watching us 'over there'..."
