But the Heavenly Dao is merciless. After Bai Wuji ascended to the Upper Realm, his cultivation reached the profound heights of heaven itself. He vowed to shatter the Heavenly Dao’s shackles and attain eternal, imperishable existence.

Yet during the battle beyond the heavens, his closest friend betrayed him. Defeated, Bai Wuji was branded a “mere mortal who dared defy the heavens” by the Upper Realm’s supreme ruler. His fury blazed, and he took it out on all of humanity.

The Great Yin Dynasty was wiped from existence, and humanity’s bloodline was severed. Worse still, an eternal curse from the Heavenly Dao was laid upon them: humanity’s fortune would be sealed for ten thousand years, and humans would remain slaves for all eternity! The Nine Provinces were plunged once more into dark turmoil!

Ten thousand years passed. Across the land of Shenzhou, humanity struggled to survive beneath the curse. Chen Qingquan was just a lowly blacksmith, but in an obscure corner of fate, he unexpectedly inherited the legacy of the Human Emperor Bai Wuji!

Can a blacksmith change the fate of the Nine Provinces? Under the curse, will humanity’s last glimmer of hope flare back to life, or will it sink forever into the abyss?
