The lives of Lu Chi and Su Yao were broken by a strange "memory overlap". Detective Lu Chi would break into a strange death scene every time he closed his eyes, and memories of murders that did not belong to him frequently flashed through his mind; paranormal researcher Su Yao could read the remaining consciousness by touching objects, but after coming into contact with an old pocket watch, she fell into the same memory vortex as Lu Chi.
The pocket watch was implicated in a series of disappearances ten years ago, and fragments of the victims' memories intertwined in their minds: dim basements, blurry black shadows, and repeated cries for help. They discovered that each time the memories overlapped, they were getting closer to the truth, but it also led them into a more dangerous trap - someone was deliberately tampering with and splicing memories in an attempt to cover up the crimes of the year.
When their memories begin to get confused and the boundaries between reality and illusion blur, they must find the mastermind behind it all before they are swallowed up by their memories.
