Transmigrated as the Young Emperor of the Ming Dynasty

Li Rui, a modern office worker crushed by KPIs, wakes up to find that he has transmigrated into the body of Zhu Houcong, the Jiajing Emperor of the Ming Dynasty.

Faced with exhausting morning audiences, impenetrable memorials, and complicated court infighting, his first thought is: Who'd want this lousy job? Let someone else take it! The Forbidden City is soon turned upside down. But as he uses modern thinking to shake up the Ming Dynasty, he faces the toughest challenge of all: how can he establish institutions for this ancient empire that won't fall apart and regress after he's gone?

And so begins an unprecedented “throne challenge,” whose ultimate goal is, astonishingly, to “optimize” the emperor himself out of the job!

This is the ultimate fantasy of an office worker setting the workplace straight, as well as a funny and heartwarming tale of a modern soul colliding with an ancient civilization. Watch as an office drone who just wants to lie flat accidentally builds a Ming Dynasty unlike any before it.
