As a Future Rising Star, I Have to Pull for Characters Now!

(Guided by Otto Apocalypse, so there's no hand-waving or making things up.)

My name is Otto, and I'm panicking right now. I'm an imperial officer who doesn't know how to fight a war, and I'm sorry.

What? You're saying I can draw cards?! And the generals I draw come with a lifetime of experience?! Damn, why didn't you say so earlier?

Holy crap! A golden legend, General Mackensen! The drop rate really is high.

No, don't trade, don't trade, don't trade. Who even are Liu Zhi and Park Kaka? Oh~ Right, right, Hindenburg is the correct choice.

Serious version:

“General Otto, as the Republic's lifelong administrative leader, why did you have the parliament and the emperor assassinated? Didn't you once swear allegiance to them?” the reporter asked.

“That's a very good question. Don't ask it next time.” Otto replied calmly. “I was assassinated precisely because I am loyal. I couldn't stand by and watch my country slide into an abyss. Rather than let that pack of vermin run the country, I believe it is safer for me to govern it. That's because I am unswervingly loyal.”

“So you chose dictatorship in the name of loyalty? And let the military place itself above the state,” someone in the audience muttered.

Otto flew into a rage. “What are you trying to insinuate? What are you trying to say? What are you trying to overthrow? What are you trying to destroy? What are your motives? Who's really behind you?”
