A Miraculous Herb Grows on South Mountain

Failed the entrance exams and returned home? Instead, I became the young doctor of Nanshan Village!

A single college entrance exam rejection crushed Lin Fan's dream of going to university, but set him on the path to inheriting the art of medicine.

Acupuncture needles and medicinal herbs, all to protect the mountain village that raised him.

Then came the scandal over inferior medicine, and he met her: Jiang Banxia of Jishitang Clinic in Shuangquan Town.

Two “poor students” brought together by medicine, exchanging their feelings through letters.

Together, they brave Miao villages, fight unscrupulous merchants, and weather a crisis of trust.

Faced with temptations and challenges from the outside world, they remain true to the land beneath their feet and the principles in their hearts.

A heartwarming story of putting down roots and growing, of compassion and true love, set in the countryside of the 1980s.
