Love Song of Haiqu

Xu Wu: The creator of the film Love Song of Haiqu, she is focused and determined. In search of a voice that could give the film its soul, she spent three months traveling around before finally finding Ye Feng. His college concert once helped her heal, and now she wants not only to cast him as the male lead, but also, deep down, to help him shine again.

Ye Feng: Once a hugely popular singer, he now lives in obscurity in a fishing village. After a producer accused his singing of having “no soul and no warmth,” he quit the industry. In the village, he uses his guitar to express his feelings. When Xu Wu invites him to join the film, he resists because he has shut himself off emotionally, yet little details, like the flicker in his eyes when he hears that his singing “has warmth,” reveal his wavering resolve.
