The Seventh Disciple of Qingyun Sect's Big Bamboo Peak

[Zhu Xian] [Qingyun Sect] [Dazhufeng Peak] [Eastern Fantasy]

The Qingyun Mountains stretch for a thousand miles, their peaks clustered like waves surging in fury. Seven towering peaks pierce the clouds, forming the foundation of the Qingyun Sect, the leading force among the righteous factions of the world. Of the seven peaks, Dazhufeng is famed for the black-jointed bamboo that grows throughout its back mountain.

At dawn, a thin mist drifts like gauze among the bamboo groves. The black-jointed bamboo is dark all over, its nodes especially deep in color. It is exceptionally tough, beyond the reach of ordinary blades.

One day, several decades later, the black-jointed bamboo on the back mountain of Dazhufeng still grew thick and lush, a symbol of new life and legacy.

A dark-skinned boy of humble talent was hard at work chopping it down.

Nearby, a bright-eyed, sweet-faced little girl named Tian Ling'er hopped along beside him.

The boy paused to wipe away his sweat. “Senior Sister Ling'er, why do I have only six senior brothers, but Master calls me the Eighth? Shouldn't I be the Seventh?” Tian Ling'er heard him and flashed a sly smile as she skipped away. Her voice rang out like silver bells: “Xiao Fan, you're so dumb! Aren't I your Seventh Senior Sister? Hahaha...”

Wang Changsheng's existence became a secret to be guarded, and his spirit lived on.

The wind swept through the bamboo grove, swaying its shadows as if whispering the legendary tale, buried by time, of the disciple who ranked seventh at Dazhufeng.

Though his name has faded from the world, on the shores of the Eastern Sea, on nights when thunder and rain sometimes rage, old people still say that it is the Qingyun Immortal protecting all living things with divine thunder. The legend lives on in another form.
