My Sister's Throne

My legitimate elder sister stole my marriage prospects, so I burned her phoenix coronet and wedding robes.

She went crying to Father, only for me to splash a cup of hot tea in her face.

“Am I supposed to suffer in silence just because I’m a concubine-born daughter?” I sneered. “I’ll turn this marquis’s manor upside down!”

When Father called for the family discipline, I pulled out a token.

“Recognize this? It belongs to the Princess Royal’s residence.”

They had no idea I had already allied myself with the most powerful woman in the capital.

Three months later, my sister’s wedding procession turned into a prisoner’s cart.

I stood beside the Princess Royal, looking down at my entire family, now reduced to prisoners.

“Forgot to tell you,” I said with a smile. “My sister was the one who handed me the list of conspirators.”
