A shocking "reverse operation" book! The author Li Zongwu uses a playful and ironic writing style to propose that those who have achieved great things in ancient times are nothing but thick-faced and dark-hearted - "thick" is like a city wall, and "black" is like thick ink. He seems to be exposing the dark trump card of historical machinations, but in fact he is fighting fire with fire, piercing the mask of hypocrisy, allowing readers to see clearly some of the cruel logic of social reality amidst astonishment and laughter. Do not regard it as a secret book for success. It is more like a spicy "demon mirror" that reflects the appearance of all living beings in Vanity Fair. Reading it is sobering.
