Dongguan's Age of Black Gold

Organized crime, crime, a city of desire.

In the 1990s, Dongguan was a jungle of unchecked growth and desire. Young women flocked to work in factories, becoming fuel for capital and spoils of power. Nightclubs concealed deadly dangers, and violence was the ultimate solution to every problem.

Here, Chen Weidong will use his wits and his blade to build his own black-market empire, step by step, and expose the mastermind lurking at the very top of the power structure, manipulating everyone like puppets.

This is not the story of a good man’s downfall, but of a kingpin’s awakening.
