The Comic Empire: From Death Note to the Creation of Civilization

When he puts pen to paper, the cultural landscape of the entire world is turned upside down. After waking from a nap, Lin Mo, a manga assistant worn down by endless demands for new work, discovers that he has transmigrated to a parallel world with a barren culture. Here, “manga” is still stuck at the primitive stage of four-panel gag strips and childish picture books. The market is lifeless and readers are desperate for something new. Meanwhile, the works that once set his blood racing back on Earth, like Naruto, the brilliantly strategic Death Note, and the rule-breaking One-Punch Man, simply don’t exist. With the entire treasury of Earth’s manga at his fingertips, Lin Mo stands at the crossroads of this world.
