I have died nine thousand times.
At the moment of every death, I remembered who I was: an outcast of the Sword Pavilion, a demon-lord, a crown prince of the divine dynasty, a prophet of the age’s end… Memories from a hundred lifetimes flooded my mind like a tide, yet the chains of fate remained as cold as ever.
The System called “Heaven’s Limit” told me: “Those who obey fate live; those who defy it die.”
But when I cut the first thread of karma with my own hands, I discovered that
All those who reincarnate are its nourishment, and every cycle is a carefully planned sacrifice.
My closest friend burned up his life star for me. Amid blood and fire, my beloved whispered, “Don’t trust the System.”
And the Limit Keeper who hunted me to the end of time let out a soft sigh in the final battle. “You’ve finally… made it here.”
I was once a pawn, an echo, Memory Backup No. 9732, erased by the System.
But this time
I will shatter the tracks of heaven and rewrite my fate, so every sleeping soul will hear my name: Lu Zhao
When reincarnation is a program and memory is data, I, Lu Zhao, will use nine thousand deaths as code to rewrite destiny. I am no backup. I am the awakened one.

As the creator of this work, I tried to complete a philosophical adventure within the framework of genre literature. "Memory Backup No. 9732, Awakening" is essentially a metaphor for the human condition in the digital age - when algorithms increasingly dominate our lives, those emotions, memories and will to resist that cannot be quantified are the most precious human fire. I deliberately set up the system to be so sophisticated and cold, just like the modern bureaucracy and technological prison we face. Every awakening of Lu Zhao is a struggle against the fate of being "defined". Those reincarnated people labeled as "abnormal" are actually free souls that the system cannot fully tame. In terms of narrative structure, I adopt a progressive philosophical discussion: from identity recognition to free will, and finally questioning the meaning of existence. Each villain is the embodiment of a certain philosophical stance, and their tragedy stems from systemic alienation. Even superpowers such as "destiny dye" are designed to question and reconstruct the law of cause and effect. The core ambition of this work is to allow readers to enjoy the suspenseful pleasure while also reflecting on: In an increasingly procedural world, are we also living as some kind of "backup"? How can we find our own way to "break limits"?
