After transmigrating into the late Northern Song, she became Empress Zhu, who was on the verge of being deposed, trapped in the desperate siege of Kaifeng.
Unwilling to be a caged bird swallowed by her age, she steals treasures, rescues Prince Kang, and crosses south to carve out a foothold. She opens businesses, trains a new army, and takes control of the seas. A woman alone, she forges a power base amid the chaos.
The court is treacherous, the emperor distrusts her, and the Jurchen invaders ride south… With nowhere left to retreat, she leads her troops overseas, establishes a new dynasty, and raises the Red-Bannered Golden Phoenix standard!
From governor of Liuqiu to founding empress of Huaguo, she brings reforms with vision beyond her time, advances science, prioritizes maritime trade, and resists powerful enemies. Watch as she breaks free of the shackles of this age of blood and iron and writes a sweeping epic of a woman founding an empire!
