The County Detective of Song County

This is a prequel to The Lady Constable of Major Cases. Nie Feilian, a female constable in the Northern Song dynasty, cracks one strange case after another: a wealthy merchant’s fall to his death in Fengtai County, an official murdered on a rainy night in Shouzhou, a “jinxed” village woman from Cuijiaji who marries three times and is widowed each time, and a Liao spy who dies in an underground chamber during a torrential storm. She untangles each mystery and strips away layer after layer of deception, unaware that another bizarre case is already waiting for her.
