The story centers on Zhixing Law Firm, where Zheng Weibai works, and depicts the experiences of six protagonists facing complex cases, conflicts of interest and moral dilemmas in the urban legal circle. Each character is intertwined with growth, choices and countless inner struggles. Their friendship and intrigues sometimes intersect and sometimes conflict, and they each strive for their ideals and self-salvation. The three volumes of the book respectively explore the budding ideals, the test of reality, and the final redemption and awakening. The stories in each volume are independent but closely connected. The legal case connects multiple narrative lines, including humorous market situations, language battles, life and death choices and ethical collisions. The ending is based on the theme of growth and letting go of oneself. After experiencing repeated conflicts, the protagonists complete self-salvation or reconciliation, and move towards a broader life with each other.
