Born to Fire

Lin Yan, once a top interior designer, was banned from the industry and abandoned by his lover due to a landmark project accident. He fell from the peak of the "Golden Compass Award" winner to the bottom of his life. In order to make a living, she took off her exquisite suit and limited-edition pen, put on a dusty down jacket, and ran around the noisy construction site in protective shoes. She took on small projects that others did not want to touch, and faced the dilemma of Party A's difficulties and safety disputes. From the calm confidence in the proposal meeting, to the self-mockery of picking up a broken helmet next to the cement floor; from being extremely picky about design details, to holding oil-stained drawings to discuss construction with workers; from self-doubt when facing difficulties, to firmly refusing unreasonable demands for the bottom line of safety - Lin Yan slowly removed the shackles of the "success label" and re-examined his self-worth in repeated collisions with reality. She found resilience in the wind and sand at the construction site, gained warmth from getting along with interns and construction masters, and even touched the essence of design to "create happiness for people" when designing an activity room for a children's welfare home. In the end, Lin Yan established a small studio with solid designs and sincere persistence time and time again, and got out of the trough. Not only did he rebuild his career, but he also pieced together a more mature and understanding self after the break, truly realizing the nirvana of "born to the fire".
