The Eve of the Apocalypse: The System’s Intelligence on the Torrential Rains
While the world was still basking in the sweltering heat of early summer, twenty-year-old Mo Yuan sensed the coming apocalypse half a month in advance, thanks to his Daily Sign-In System. Torrential rain would sweep across the globe without letup. Cities flooding would only be the beginning. The extreme heat, meteorites, and freezing cold that followed would give rise to man-eating zombies and mutated creatures.
He stayed up all night to warn his childhood friend Zhou Wenji to stockpile supplies and reinforce his home. Then he urgently called his sister Lin Mo, who was thousands of miles away in Kyoto, and told her to prepare with her friend Bai Xiao. But the disaster spread far faster than expected. Before the floods had receded, zombies were already howling among the ruins. The few who awakened supernatural abilities, whose average level was only 2 to 3 and who rarely exceeded level 4, along with masters of ancient martial arts, became humanity’s faint hope for survival.
With resources and intelligence obtained through the System’s sign-in rewards, Mo Yuan sets out with Old Zhou, who knows the secret of his System, to find his sister. They transmigrate through flood-soaked cities, evade mutated plants in the scorching heat, and battle evolved zombies amid icy ruins. Along the way, they must not only uncover how to use energy crystals and Teyvat Primogems, but also find Zhou Lili, their missing friend of six months and the team’s 180-IQ brains, and build a squad capable of surviving in the apocalypse.
From preparing in advance for the torrential rain to epic clashes between supernatural abilities and ancient martial arts, where the three stages of body, spirit, and mind cultivation correspond to ability levels 1 through 9; from searching for missing loved ones to protecting the last glimmer of hope among the survivors, this is a fight for survival in the apocalypse, breaking through with the System and defying fate with courage.
