Chen Xiaoxiao, or rather, Yuetai, the quick-witted young disciple who once studied under Lin Zhengying, now sat bored on the threshold of the Hall of Judgment, looking at the grim-faced King of Hell before her.

"So," she drawled, her voice utterly emotionless, "you took the wrong soul and made me die young, and now you're telling me I can't go back?"

The King of Hell's beard quivered. A faint aura clung to this girl, yet even he found it unnerving: the mark of the "Ultimate." He had searched the Book of Life and Death and ancient scrolls before vaguely deducing that she was probably the Ultimate's own daughter, somehow stranded in Lin Zhengying's little world, and that the time had come for her to return. But the karmic consequences were too great, and he didn't dare say it plainly, so he spoke in vague terms.

"Ahem," the King of Hell cleared his throat, trying to maintain his dignity. "It's not that you can't go back. Your original body has been destroyed. As it happens, there's an excellent opportunity: you can be born into a world that resonates with your origin, while retaining some of your memories and abilities from your previous life."

Chen Xiaoxiao looked up. Her clear black-and-white eyes showed no emotion. "The catch?"
