"The Seventh Echo" tells the story of folklore professor Gu Huaishan who is forced to return to his hometown "Huai'an Town" to investigate a series of bizarre deaths related to ancient rituals. When he discovers that all clues point to an unfinished ritual involving his mother twenty years ago, the town's bells begin ringing an extra time each midnight. Gu Huaishan must uncover the truth about reincarnation in the ancient town where time and space are chaotic, find a way to break the situation among repeated deaths and memory fragments, and stop the coming ancient existence.
