In 2149, human civilization was split into two worlds by a transparent energy dome - above the dome, there was a technological paradise controlled by the Titan Group, where the rich had a hundred-year lifespan through genetic optimization, and the neural interaction system built a virtual utopia; under the dome, there was a waste hell called the "Rust Belt", where ordinary people lived by sorting discarded parts in the dome, and their lungs were filled with dust and mist containing "inhibitory factors", making even breathing a luxury.
Lin Ye, a 23-year-old sorter struggling in the Rust Belt, accidentally picked up a silver chip engraved with "GS-07" and was involved in the mystery of his father's death in a "research and development accident" ten years ago. He gradually discovered that the GS chip of the Titan Group was by no means an ordinary neural component, but a "ruling tool" that could extract genes and control consciousness. The so-called "gene screening plan" was actually a conspiracy to cleanse "inferior genes" in the Rust Belt.
From being chased by the Security Department, to meeting the mysterious woman Su Muqing from the Dome Zone (the daughter of a high-ranking Titan, but hiding the secret of revenge for her father), to joining the resistance organization "Broken Dome", Lin Ye's life was completely rewritten. He has seen the depravity of the Rust Belt Gang, the cold-bloodedness of Giant God executives, and has also experienced Chen Mo's sacrifice and Lao Dao's protection; he once despaired due to the gap between rich and poor, but regained his courage at Uncle Zhang's bedside and Ah Jiu's smile.
This is a story about "scrap" fighting back against "paradise": when the neon dome cannot illuminate the darkness of the rust belt, and when technology becomes a weapon of oppression, a group of ordinary people who are regarded as "redundant resources" use their flesh, blood, faith and love to carve out a light to freedom in the rusted ruins.
