Fierce A Dou: Yue Yun's Soul Transmigrates into the Three Kingdoms

I grew up steeped in the schemes and power struggles of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and fascinated by the tragic tale of loyalty and righteousness in The Story of Yue Fei. Zhuge Liang’s peerless foresight and Yue Fei’s devoted patriotism have always stirred my heart. Countless times, I’ve wondered: if Marquis Wu’s northern campaigns had succeeded, if Yue Wumu’s march straight to Huanglong had not remained an unfulfilled dream, what kind of legend would history have recorded?

After much deliberation, a more compelling story framework gradually took shape. Focusing on Yue Yun made the story of this young general especially rich with possibility: his youthful passion would naturally clash across generations with the seasoned statecraft of an aging Zhuge Liang.

And so this legendary tale came to be: Yue Yun, a young general of the Southern Song, is framed by treacherous officials and dies full of resentment. Yet his heroic spirit crosses the river of time and possesses Liu Shan, the eighteen-year-old last ruler of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms era. At the time, the gentry of Yizhou are stirring with intrigue within Shu Han, while the powerful states of Cao Wei and Eastern Wu encircle it from without. Meanwhile, Chancellor Zhuge Liang is exhausting himself over his great northern campaign. Carrying memories of the Southern Song’s war against the Jin, Yue Yun takes the name Liu Shan and sets off a world-shaking transformation in the turbulent, treacherous Three Kingdoms era, one powerful enough to rewrite the course of history.
