Delivering Ghostly Packages in Yunzhou

Yunzhou is vast, vast enough to hold every dream and every crime.

Yunzhou is also small, so small that every secret eventually ends up in a parcel, delivered by a courier with their own hands.

Li Tiezhu, an unemployed college graduate, becomes the city’s “ferryman.”

What he delivers isn’t just goods.

It’s an elderly person living alone being conned out of their “filial devotion,” a carefully planned “script” from an influencer, ominous “spirit money” left outside a holdout’s door, and the “tenant” who doesn’t exist in the mirror of a shared apartment...

Station manager Lao Wang always speaks in riddles: “A red string is a signal. Don’t jump into the fire pit.”

Each coworker has their own rules for survival, while the police and a forensic examiner become unconventional allies.

With half a copy of the Secret Records of Yunzhou’s Streets and Lanes in hand, Li Tiezhu moves along the edges of the law and through the gray areas of human nature, gradually coming to understand:

There are no ghosts in this world, but every corner of the human heart could be his next delivery address.

And he must learn how to safely “sign for” this bizarre and wonderful world.
