>The new emperor ascended the throne, and I was forced to pretend to be a gentle, virtuous chancellor.
>Every day, the first thing I did after court was rush back to my residence and let loose.
>That day, I was dancing in the courtyard in a bright red peony dress, singing, “I shall drink myself to death in this life of luxury!”
>Suddenly, a soft laugh came from beyond the wall. “My dear minister, I never knew you had such a lively spirit.”
>I froze. The emperor himself was leaning over the wall, his eyes gleaming as if he'd just found his prey.
>The next day, he decreed that I move into the palace, claiming it would “make it easier to discuss state affairs.”
>On my first night in the side hall, he knocked on my door and said, “My empire is still missing an empress tonight.”
>I silently pulled out a copy of The Rules of Etiquette Between Sovereign and Subject. “Your Majesty, please behave yourself.”
>He actually pulled out an even thicker book, A Guide to Forcing Your Love on Someone. “My dear minister, I've come prepared.”
It's rich in emotion, but the plot is thin. I don't like redundant things for my taste. It's short and concise, the content is clear but the emotions are greasy. It's OK for a novice author, but the emperor is a little childish [laughs and cries] It's suitable for reading in one go at night. Few people write short stories anymore. The character of the Prime Minister is cold and beautiful, which is still rare! Hope to update the episode soon
