[Omega disguised as a Beta commander × a cocky-at-first, loyal-puppy-later type]
Wen Yu was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Everything went his way, and he had his future mapped out: commander in five years, senior management in eight, and a new leader in ten.
Then the commander changed, and the new “outsider” parachuted in and took his position.
Everyone around him said the newcomer was a charlatan who had risen to the top on connections. Wen Yu thought so too.
That is, until he spotted the new commander at a bar, vulnerable in private, with pheromones spilling everywhere. Something felt off.
The commander was on the verge of losing control. One trembling hand clutched Wen Yu’s sleeve, begging for his pheromones to calm him, while the other rested on the gun at his waist.
Wen Yu thought, How interesting.
He had assumed he was the one in control, and secretly delighted in being able to read his omega’s actions at certain moments.
It was only when the other man carried out his plan and faked his own death that Wen Yu finally saw the truth.
Wen Yu could hardly believe it. “Did you never care about me at all?”
Sadly, Shen Du, who was hopelessly slow to understand his own feelings, had no answer for him.
In Wen Yu’s view, love meant honesty.
Only later did he realize that love also meant compromise.
POV: Shen Du (the commander)
Shen Du belongs to Wen Yu.
It was interesting to write, but it felt like it was written too hastily.
