Set in the middle to late Shang Dynasty (Wu Ding Dynasty to before Emperor Xin succeeded to the throne), it focuses on the legendary journey of the three generations of Zi Qi, Zi Yu, and Zi Mo, telling the story of how they used the lost "Thirty-six Strategies of the Doctrine" as the core, and in the whirlpool of checks and balances among the three parties of divine power, royal power, and princes, they used the strategy of "submitting to heaven, harmonious people, and stabilizing the situation" to turn the tide.
"The Thirty-six Strategies of the Doctrine of the Mean" written by Yi Yin, the Xian Prime Minister of Shang and Tang Dynasties, was listed as a banned book for challenging the power of witchcraft. A hundred years later, Ziqi, a young historian from a poor family, accidentally obtained it. The son used "false hands and borrowing power" to resolve the sacrificial crisis, "made a small fortune out of thin air" to expose the theocratic conspiracy, and helped Wu Ding strengthen the royal power; his son Yu inherited the policy letter, relied on "distance and close friendship" to reconcile the princes, and borrowed " "Lian Lian Auxiliary Plan" put down the civil strife and continued the "Wu Ding Zhongxing"; in the twilight years of the dynasty, his grandson Mo Lin used the "empty city stabilization plan" to confuse the Zhou army, used the "bitter meat persuasion plan" to remonstrate with Emperor Xin, and delayed Shang Zuo with the wisdom of moderation.
The whole book is based on the inheritance and practice of "The Thirty-six Strategies of Doctrine" by three generations. In the simple artistic conception of oracle bone inscriptions, it unfolds the rise and fall of the Shang Dynasty, explores the deep philosophical thought of "docility is not weakness, but abides by the Tao", and reproduces the governance wisdom of "conquering hardness with softness and controlling competition with harmony" in early Chinese civilization.

It's very well written. I came across this book by chance. Because I prefer Yin and Shang culture, I clicked on it to read it. The author is very familiar with the customs, sacrifices, divination, etc. Of the Shang Dynasty and can pick them up easily.
I used to think that the timeline of the novels I wrote with the Warring States period as the background was very far away, but I didn't expect that there were still novels about the Yin and Shang Dynasties! So excited.
