Runes Descend

[Western Fantasy] [Instances] [Another World]

At the instant an orc's fangs came snapping at him, Lathera's magic swept Aidan away. The mark on his palm burned against his skin. "You were chosen by the Forest Tree. You must form a team, enter instances, and stop the Dark Mage."

But when five teams entered the first instance, "Rotting Leaf Marsh," the Dark Mage's voice rang directly in everyone's minds. "Aidan, don't rush to play the hero. Do you know why this mark resonates with my dark power?"

Aidan gripped his sword. "What trick are you playing?"

"It's no trick. It's the truth." The other man's voice held a note of mockery. "In the next instance, 'Starfall Ruins,' I've left a secret about the mark and Lathera. Oh, and that orc attack wasn't a coincidence."

As soon as he finished speaking, the instance boss suddenly went berserk. The team's mage cried out, "He's deliberately forcing us into this!" Aidan's heart sank. What did the Dark Mage know? And how much had Lathera hidden?
