Demon Slayer: I Became Upper Moon Zero from the Start

Lin Bai gains karma every time he experiences a new world. Once he gathers the fragments of a divine spirit's godhead from nine lifetimes, he will become a god. And so, he sets out on an adventure.

Lin Bai: “I want to protect the kindest Kanae in the world, coax Shinobu into dropping her cold, tough act so we can spend our lives together, and keep Mei happy and carefree, with no more storms ahead.”

Touka Kirishima: “Why don't you fight back when I hit you?”

“Because you're my moon.”

Eto Yoshimura: “Hey, loser. Spend the rest of your life watching sunsets with me.”

“The sun is the morning, the moon is the evening, and you are every moment in between.”

Tatsumaki: “Is that all you've got?”

“...”

Kurumi Tokisaki: “Ara ara, I like you, I like you so much~”

Lin Bai: “Kurumi, I'm warning you, don't come any closer! Don't steal my karma!”

“And don't expose me to the other Spirits, damn it!”

It wasn't until Lin Bai arrived in the Date A Live world that he discovered he and Shido had things backwards. Shido could seal Spirits by winning them over, but if a Spirit won Lin Bai over, she could take the karma he'd worked so hard to accumulate: the fragments of his godhead. It nearly scared him to death. The whole world suddenly seemed full of danger, and only Kurumi knew what was going on. Then one day, Kurumi tearfully begged him to give her his karma so she could return to thirty years ago. His heart softened, and in an instant, she drained it all from him.

When the godhead fragments from seven worlds gathered in Kurumi, Demi-God Kurumi made her entrance. After resolving her inner turmoil, she pointed her gun at Lin Bai.

“Now you have two choices: come with me, or I'll kill you.”

“So you were winning me over? You're really not after my godhead fragments?”

“Ara ara~ What do you think?”

Maple: “For the reward, I want to form a couple with Lin Bai!”

Bystander: “Damn, why are these two blue-blooded weirdos swapping partners?”
