My Classmate, the God of Wealth

[A seemingly aloof God of Wealth who is actually afraid of ghosts x a money-hungry little mystic with astonishing fighting skills]

Jiang Ming was one of the most promising young talents in the world of the occult. She enrolled at A University purely to fulfill her master's requirement that she “fit into modern society.” She attended classes by day and hunted ghosts at night, living a perfectly regular life until she ran into Pei Zhengyan, a guy practically radiating “wealth energy.”

That night, she was facing off against a hundred-year-old vengeful ghost outside an abandoned classroom building. Her talisman flashed with golden light, and the ghost shrieked. When she finished the job and turned around, she saw a boy staring blankly at her, or more precisely, at the glow of the talisman in her hand, which had yet to fade.

Pei Zhengyan: “That golden light just now... was it a special effect?”

Jiang Ming, expressionless as she hid the talisman behind her: “Hey, staying up late can cause hallucinations. You should head home and get some sleep.”

Pei Zhengyan, pointing at the trembling, vanishing shadow of a vengeful ghost behind her: “And that... was that a hallucination too?”

Later, Jiang Ming discovered that whenever she stayed close to this guy, she could find her lost meal card, pull an SSR every time she drew, and even run into once-in-a-century “big spenders” while out hunting ghosts. He wasn't just a classmate. He was her personal good-luck buff!

Pei Zhengyan also realized that ever since he met this strange girl who was always out and about in the middle of the night, the ghosts that had haunted him for years, only daring to hover nearby and scare him, seemed to be... keeping their distance?
