Lin Fan, a low-level intern from the future "Time Administration". During a routine maintenance mission, he was accidentally involved in the historical torrent and traveled to a key node of Chinese civilization. His mission is not to change history, but to "correct" timelines that have been maliciously or accidentally tampered with to ensure that history develops according to the established track. However, he soon discovered that every time he successfully corrected a "historical deviation", it would trigger a series of unexpected "butterfly effects" - characters that should not have appeared out of thin air, events that should not have happened quietly, and even the direction of historical records began to become weird.
What's worse is that these "butterfly effects" are not random, but seem to be controlled by a mysterious force behind the scenes, trying to use Lin Fan's "correction" behavior to lead history to a more distorted and disastrous ending. Within a limited time, Lin Fan must not only act as a "gatekeeper of history" to prevent obvious tampering, but also be alert to the possible "backlash" caused by every action he takes, and battle wits and courage with those "time predators" hidden in the darkness of history. He gradually realizes that the "established history" he is guarding may not be perfect, and may even hide unknown dark secrets.
