(Transmigrate into a book + 1v1 romance + space + stealing the heroine's golden finger + Buddhist-like heir of the capital's elite circle)
Bai Qingyao, a third-year student at a martial arts college, transmigrates into a book and becomes Fu Jingyuan's little maid. She's also a cannon-fodder character who serves as a foil to the heroine, Tang Wan, and the unloved biological daughter of the Bai family, raised in the countryside.
The fake heiress, Bai Ruan, has not only stolen the wealthy life that should have been Bai Qingyao's for twenty years, but also taken her fiance, Nangong Xuan. She even gave Tang Wan the bracelet that was Bai Qingyao's golden finger. In the end, the two women become best friends.
When Bai Qingyao learns that Tang Wan's most powerful hidden golden finger originally belonged to her, Tang Wan has already used it to attract the attention of the heirs to the four great families: the Fu, Gu, Mu, and Huo families. She's thriving in the capital's elite circles.
Bai Qingyao decides to reclaim her golden finger and avoid the fate of being killed by one of the heroine's admirers in the book.
At first, Fu Jingyuan only keeps her around to humor her mother and discourage her from trying to set him up with more women. He pays no attention to this unremarkable woman. He takes a little interest in her at first, but soon loses it.
Later, he discovers that this little maid is far more than she seems. It looks like he'll have to get to know her better. The more he does, the more he realizes Bai Qingyao is a treasure. Before long, Fu Jingyuan takes her wherever he goes.
Everyone in the capital's elite circles says this maid is impressive, having caught Young Master Fu's eye. Only Fu Jingyuan knows that she doesn't seem very interested in him.
Gradually, Bai Qingyao's radiance becomes impossible for Fu Jingyuan to hide. He notices that a swarm of flies is buzzing around his little maid, and at last he can't sit still. He uses ruthless methods to drive off her many suitors.
Years later, Fu Jingyuan's identity as Bai Qingyao's husband is finally revealed to the public.
