He wrapped himself tightly in a coat of an indistinguishable color that was as hard as cardboard that had been soaked in water and then air-dried. He pulled his knees up to his chest in an attempt to reduce the surface area exposed to the cold. This position allowed him to preserve a pitiful amount of heat, but at the cost of the sore pain in his limb joints, like the forced rotation of rusty gears. . .
