Zhou Chen, the third young master of a prestigious Jiangnan family, seems like a wastrel, but has actually awakened the “Misfortune Body”: the more he lies flat, the luckier he gets, and bad luck becomes his path to godhood.
In 2023, undercurrents stir in the modern city. Spiritual qi lies hidden, while occult sects, financial clans, and superpowered individuals wage secret battles.
Disdained by his family and framed by his cousin, he turns misfortune into fortune when he accidentally enters a haunted subway car and activates his ancestors’ spirit pact.
He plays the pig to eat the tiger, is a goofy lunatic, and is equally adept at fortune-telling and body cultivation. The more his enemies scheme against him, the more wondrous encounters he has.
Cloaked in misfortune, his fate overwhelms all others. Anyone who crosses him is doomed. His face-slapping never requires him to lift a finger: fortune itself turns against his enemies.
See how Zhou Chen keeps up his act until he turns the whole world into stepping stones and makes a comeback to become an immortal!
Not great, really
